Senior Technical Recruiter

About the role

We are building a next‑generation digital banking platform for one of Africa’s largest financial institutions, targeting 15 million users at launch and scaling to hundreds of millions. As a Senior Technical Recruiter you will own the end‑to‑end technical hiring process for product, engineering, platform, security and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job briefing to signed offer.
• Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, technical communities, referrals and other channels.
• Screen and assess candidates against role requirements, including technical assessments with engineering leads.
• Conduct structured competency interviews and verify credentials, certifications and employment history.
• Prepare concise, decision‑ready shortlists with fit, assessment outcomes, compensation expectations and recommendations.
• Benchmark compensation, advise on offer strategy and track talent trends across Nigeria and Africa.
• Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and monitor recruitment metrics.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements; manage relationships with specialist agencies as needed.

Required profile

• 5 + years of technical recruitment experience, including senior engineering and technology roles.
• Proven ability to assess technical depth across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle independently.
• Strong structured interviewing skills with evidence‑based assessment.
• Ability to produce concise, well‑reasoned shortlists.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian and broader African technical talent market (nice to have).
