Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to build products that thousands of students, counsellors and university partners actually use. You will join the R&D and engineering team, own features from idea to production, and see the impact of your work immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve core web platforms that power student applications, counsellor workflows and business operations.
• Develop and integrate AI chatbots, WhatsApp automation and voice agents for prospective students.
• Design, maintain and scale RESTful APIs, including a course data service covering UK and Canadian universities.
• Create data pipelines to keep course information accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Integrate third‑party tools such as HubSpot CRM, WhatsApp Cloud API and Meta services.
• Contribute to the study‑abroad mobile app and new SaaS products, including an events platform.
• Deploy, monitor and secure applications on cloud servers (DigitalOcean, AWS) using Nginx and Gunicorn.
• Write clean, tested, well‑documented code, review pull requests and help set engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and interns to grow a strong engineering culture.

Required profile

• At least 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Willingness to work fully onsite at our Lagos office.

• Linux server deployment (DigitalOcean, AWS) with Nginx and Gunicorn

• Chatbot platforms (e.g., Botpress), LLM APIs, AI voice tools (nice to have)
• Supabase, HubSpot, WhatsApp Business/Cloud API (nice to have)
• Data processing with pandas (nice to have)
• Mobile app development (Flutter, React Native, or native) (nice to have)
