Engineering Manager – Identity

About the role

As an Engineering Manager (Identity) at FairMoney, you will lead an engineering squad responsible for building and maintaining reliable identity and KYC solutions that support our products and customers across markets. You will combine strong people leadership with a hands‑on technical background, collaborating closely with engineers, Product, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop an engineering squad while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership for identity, authentication, KYC and related backend systems.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into reliable technical solutions in partnership with Product, Risk and Compliance.
• Design, develop and deliver scalable, resilient distributed systems.
• Ensure high standards for architecture, code quality, testing, security, reliability and overall engineering practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in backend development.
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Strong hands‑on experience with distributed systems and production‑grade services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
