About the role
CDL is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Lagos office. You will lead cost management activities on major residential and mixed‑use projects, ensuring financial control from initial estimates to final account.
Key responsibilities
- Produce and maintain the project cost plan from early estimates through to final account.
- Prepare and agree monthly interim valuations with the client’s representative and submit payment applications on schedule.
- Prepare subcontract tender packages, evaluate tenders and recommend appointments.
- Manage the bill of quantities, measure variations against agreed rates, and maintain the variation register.
- Prepare subcontractor interim payments each month.
- Generate cost‑to‑complete forecasts and cash‑flow projections for the Commercial Manager.
- Supervise the Site Quantity Surveyor and support the Commercial Manager in the final account process.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Membership of NIQS or RICS.
- Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience on major residential or mixed‑use construction projects in Nigeria.
