Senior Product Designer (Volunteer)

About the role

Havora is building a relationship platform that aims to give people meaningful, intentional connections, grounded in human psychology, compatibility, trust and thoughtful design. It is looking for a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of the product experience, shape its visual identity and work closely with the founders, product and engineering teams. This is a 6-month unpaid volunteer contract of 15 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product experience on Havora's mobile app, making it intuitive, thoughtful and visually compelling.
• Shape the visual identity and product design language so the experience feels distinctive, premium and cohesive.
• Translate user needs, relationship behaviours and emotional nuances into meaningful product experiences.
• Take end-to-end ownership: early concepts and user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, interactive prototypes and developer handoff.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems and reusable components.
• Collaborate with the founders, product and engineering teams to turn ambitious ideas into well-executed experiences.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of professional product design experience, ideally with strong mobile-first digital product experience.
• A portfolio showing exceptional UI/UX craft, product thinking and the ability to solve complex problems through design.
• Outstanding visual taste and the ability to create elegant, modern, premium experiences.
• A self-directed designer who takes ownership, exercises sound judgement and moves from ambiguity to clarity.
• Someone who understands that designing Havora means understanding people, relationships, trust and human behaviour, and who connects with the mission.
