Senior Network Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network Engineer will design, deploy and maintain carrier‑grade network infrastructure for enterprise customers in Abuja. Reporting to the network operations lead, you will ensure service reliability, meet SLAs and drive digital transformation initiatives across cloud, security and data‑center environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, configure and implement LAN, WAN and wireless networks, including MPLS, L2VPN and SD‑WAN solutions.
• Provide hands‑on engineering support for routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies (MSTP, RSTP, VTP) and security features (802.1x, IPSec, GRE tunneling).
• Troubleshoot network failures, analyse logs and perform corrective maintenance for IP/MPLS services.
• Develop automation scripts and internal tools to streamline network operations.
• Participate in design reviews, RFQ responses and proposal preparation for new projects.
• Act as Network Administrator for the Lagos segment, including on‑call duties as required.
• Lead digital transformation projects leveraging cloud, big‑data, IoT, SDN, SDS and SDDC technologies.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of professional experience in network engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with carrier‑grade routing and switching equipment.
• Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex network performance issues.
• Experience with network automation and scripting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on‑site full‑time.
