Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Aviation Ground Handling

About the role

Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) is seeking experienced senior engineers to lead the design, optimisation and maintenance of mechanical systems and ground support equipment used in aviation handling operations across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and optimise mechanical and electrical systems for ground support equipment.
• Conduct technical assessments and oversee maintenance programmes to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, providing timely solutions.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement and safety teams to plan upgrades and manage engineering projects.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and support strategic decisions on fleet replacement and infrastructure development.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and prepare technical reports.

Required profile

• B.Eng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of proven hands‑on field experience.
• Relevant experience in aviation, oil & gas, construction or manufacturing sectors.
