Senior Manager: Infrastructure, Operations & Security Lead

About the role

Midas, a joint venture between MTN Group Fintech and Alipay, is seeking a senior leader to drive its security operations and DevSecOps strategy. Based in Lagos, you will shape the security posture of a fast‑growing digital wallet ecosystem serving multiple African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Security Operations and DevSecOps strategy aligned with business growth, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop multi‑year roadmaps for SOC maturity, detection engineering, incident response, red‑team activities, secure SDLC, cloud and on‑premise security, and API/application protection.
• Establish and monitor KPIs such as MTTD, MTTR, vulnerability remediation SLAs, and secure release performance.
• Present security posture, risk trends, and remediation priorities to executive leadership and governance forums.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks, internal controls, and financial‑services security expectations.
• Support senior management in defining group‑wide cyber‑defence priorities and drive execution across the group and operating companies.

Required profile

• 4‑year Engineering or Science degree.
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, SANS or equivalent).
• 8‑10 years of IT experience with a focus on cyber security.
• 2‑3 years managing information security in a large organization.
• Demonstrated experience working in Africa.
