Senior Legal Manager

About the role

The Senior Legal Manager will provide corporate and commercial legal advice to support ATC Nigeria’s operations, ensuring that business decisions, processes and documentation comply with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves coaching staff on legal developments, managing external legal partners, and acting as the primary interface with regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver corporate and commercial legal advice to business stakeholders.
• Ensure legal compliance of decisions, processes and documentation.
• Coach, train and communicate legal changes to staff.
• Manage outsourced legal and regulatory partners and external counsel.
• Interface with regulatory authorities and draft key commercial agreements.
• Conduct due‑diligence reviews of real‑estate documents, including ground leases and title deeds.
• Handle litigation matters with support from external counsel.
• Perform company secretarial duties and uphold health, safety and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of corporate/commercial law principles.
• Understanding of land law, title and legal document requirements.
• Experience drafting commercial agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Litigation experience and familiarity with telecoms/infrastructure and regulatory environments.
• Ability to work across functional groups and build solid internal and external relationships.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
