Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Armorsil West Africa is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead audit activities across its construction operations in Lagos. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on audits that safeguard the Group’s assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct operational, financial, compliance and special audits across the Group.
• Perform risk‑based assessments to evaluate internal controls and risk‑management processes.
• Review financial records, transactions, processes and systems to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Investigate suspected fraud, misconduct or policy violations.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, root causes, risk exposure and actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to verify corrective actions are implemented.
• Evaluate operational efficiency in areas such as inventory, procurement, sales, payroll and asset management and suggest cost‑saving measures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Internal Audit Officers and Audit Assistants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit or a similar role.
• Proven ability to lead audit assignments from planning through reporting.
