Senior Finance Manager

About the role

A leading distributor of technology, services and lifestyle products in Sub-Saharan Africa is hiring a Senior Finance Manager based in Lagos, Nigeria. The role leads the financial planning and analysis function, giving strategic insight to executive leadership while optimising financial performance, mentoring finance staff and supporting the company's growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning and analysis across business units
• Provide high-level financial reporting and insights to executive management
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Drive initiatives to improve working capital and financial efficiency
• Mentor and supervise finance team members and coordinate performance appraisals
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies
• Represent the finance department in strategic meetings and decision-making

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA or ICAN is required
• Minimum of 6/7 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role
• Proven leadership and strategic thinking, strong understanding of financial systems and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system, preferably Dynamics 365
• Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
