Senior Consultant Urologist – Full‑Time – Abuja

About the role

Our client, a leading healthcare institution in Abuja, is seeking an experienced Consultant Urologist to join its specialist medical team. The role involves delivering comprehensive urological care, including advanced diagnostics, medical management, and both minimally invasive and open surgeries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis and management of urological conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
• Perform and oversee advanced urological procedures such as laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries, prostatectomy, nephrectomy, cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, TURP and stone removal.
• Manage emergency urological cases including acute urinary retention, renal colic and urological trauma.
• Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient reviews, ward rounds and post‑operative follow‑up.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for complex and high‑risk patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervise junior doctors and surgical trainees, and participate in on‑call services.
• Lead clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experienced and highly skilled Consultant Urologist.
• Strong expertise in advanced, laparoscopic, endoscopic and minimally invasive urological procedures.
• Proven clinical leadership and ability to manage complex urological cases.
