Senior Compliance Officer

247Bet is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join its fast‑growing team in Lagos. This full‑time hybrid position will be responsible for ensuring the platform complies with all licensing, AML/CFT, KYC and responsible‑gaming obligations under Nigerian law.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the company’s compliance framework, policies and procedures across licensing, AML/CFT, KYC and responsible gaming.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulators and licensing authorities, handling filings, reporting and correspondence.
• Design, implement and oversee KYC/AML controls, working with vendors such as Smile ID and Seon and collaborating with engineering.
• Monitor transactions and player activity for suspicious behaviour and manage related reporting obligations.
• Develop and run the responsible‑gaming programme, including self‑exclusion, deposit limits, age verification and player protection.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, maintain the risk register and deliver compliance training across the organisation.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory changes and advise leadership on impact.
• Manage complaints handling and dispute‑resolution processes in line with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in compliance, legal or risk, preferably within gaming, fintech, payments or another regulated sector.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC and responsible‑gaming requirements.
• Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory frameworks and gaming/lottery licensing.
• Proven ability to design and implement compliance policies, controls and processes.
• Detail‑oriented, rigorous and comfortable making and defending judgement calls.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with regulators and internal teams.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ICA, CAMS, or legal qualification) is a plus.
