Senior Collections Specialist

About the role

MIM Finance is seeking an experienced Senior Collections Specialist to lead and improve the performance of its loan recovery function. The role involves strategic portfolio analysis, team leadership, and driving measurable improvements in collections across various delinquency stages.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of collections and recovery performance across assigned loan portfolios, monitoring delinquency trends and implementing appropriate strategies.
• Lead, coach, and develop collections officers, set targets, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Develop and continuously improve collections strategies, analyse repayment behaviour, and recommend workflow enhancements.
• Prepare regular performance reports, track key indicators such as PAR, NPL ratios, roll rates, and provide actionable insights to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in collections, loan recovery, or credit management, with proven leadership of collections teams.
• Strong understanding of delinquency management metrics (PAR, NPL, roll rates, cure rates) and experience managing both performing and delinquent loan portfolios.
• Background in fintech, consumer lending, micro‑finance, or digital lending environments.

Required skills

• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with collections/loan management or CRM systems.
