Company Accountant

About the role

The company seeks an outstanding Accountant to manage financial and management accounting functions for a micro‑finance bank. The role involves analysing daily financial activities, preparing reports, and advising management on future financial plans.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and interpret financial and management accounting reports for senior management.
• Maintain and update accounting records, post transactions, and reconcile bank statements.
• Analyse budgets, create expense reports, and conduct month‑end and year‑end closures.
• Handle tax policies, payments, and returns, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and company secretary for audit resolution and annual filings.

Required profile

• BA/BSc in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Mathematics; MSc is a plus.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CFA or CPA.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the micro‑finance banking sector.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping.
• Budgeting, risk management and financial forecasting models.
• Data analysis and solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
