Senior Accountant – Tax & Finance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our accounting operations and manage all tax-related matters. The role requires strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and the ability to deliver accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Handle all tax matters, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT and other statutory obligations.
• Ensure timely filing and remittance of taxes and regulatory returns.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers and general accounts.
• Manage payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Liaise with tax authorities, auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support budgeting, financial planning and management reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
• Professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
