Senior Accountant – Financial Operations & International Transactions

About the role

Swan Medico Ltd., a pharmaceutical distribution company, is looking for a highly organized Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations across local and international transactions. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Finance, you will ensure transparency, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and currencies.
• Validate expense documentation and attach receipts to bookings.
• Track and reconcile monthly customer pre‑payments, reporting issues to the CEO and Global Head of Finance.
• Manage supplier payments, including currency conversions from NGN to foreign currencies.
• Monitor and verify international transfers from Nigeria to overseas bank accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies.
• Control stock registers, record deviations, and report to senior management.
• Support the Global Head of Finance with reporting, documentation, and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Proven experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation, expense management, international payments, and stock keeping.
• Experience handling multi‑currency transactions is an advantage.
