Sectional Head, Electrical

About the role

Dangote Industries Limited is looking for a Sectional Head, Electrical for its Obajana plant. The role covers electrical maintenance of LS Crushers through to the packing plants, including planning preventive maintenance, operations and management, and ensuring the safe and efficient use of plant resources.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and oversee maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
• Plan and schedule maintenance operations and create short- and long-term maintenance programs.
• Ensure adequate spares are available and monitor equipment inventory, placing orders when needed.
• Plan and oversee repair and installation activities, and manage on-site contractors so they meet legal and company requirements.
• Enforce health and safety rules, occupational health procedures and quality, environmental and OHS standards, including TPM.
• Coordinate inspections, assessments and adjustments across sections and evaluate persistent problems until resolved.
• Keep critical production equipment in good working condition and manage spares and maintenance planning for shutdowns of crushers, stackers, reclaimers and raw mills.
• Oversee technical staff and provide expertise training as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 20 years of post-qualification experience.
• Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes.
• Good oral and written communication skills, organizational awareness, teamwork and collaboration.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools and CMMS.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Good knowledge of inventory management and safety legislation.
