Secondary School Principal

About the role

A reputable Christian secondary school on the Ago-Okota axis of Lagos State is looking for an experienced educational leader to serve as Principal. The Principal drives academic excellence, operational efficiency and institutional growth while upholding the school's core values, mission and pastoral standards. The stated remuneration is N500,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary academic and administrative leadership aligned with the school's mission, standard operating procedures and long-term goals.
• Oversee curriculum delivery, teacher evaluations and classroom learning to maintain high standards across national and international examination pathways.
• Foster a disciplined, nurturing environment that promotes moral character, ethical standards and the spiritual values of the school community.
• Direct day-to-day operations, staff appraisals, professional development programmes and resource allocation.
• Maintain open communication with parents, alumni, regulatory bodies and the wider community.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or B.Sc., with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE); a Master's in Education, Educational Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
• Cambridge certification or training, or demonstrated mastery of British curriculum frameworks, is strongly required.
• At least five years of proven leadership experience in a senior administrative role such as Principal, Vice Principal or Head of School, preferably in private or mission schools preparing students for IGCSE and WAEC.
• Strong commitment to moral integrity and Christian educational values.
• Candidates living within or near the Ago-Okota-Isolo-Ajao axis of Lagos are strongly preferred.
