Sales & Marketing Manager

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market presence across Abuja's retail and open market channels. This role reports to senior leadership and oversees a team dedicated to achieving monthly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement result‑oriented sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market penetration.
• Design and execute route‑to‑market plans across supermarkets, hypermarkets, and HORECA channels.
• Lead field sales activities and open‑market campaigns, building strong relationships with wholesalers and distributors.
• Manage monthly sales and marketing budgets for maximum impact and efficiency.
• Supervise, motivate, and evaluate the sales and marketing team to meet performance objectives.
• Prepare and submit periodic performance reports.
• Identify and enter new markets to expand the customer and distributor base.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant sales experience in FMCG, beverage, or confectionery sectors.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG sales, product marketing, and route‑to‑market strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management skills.
• Familiarity with Abuja open markets and existing contacts with foodstuff distributors is an advantage.
