Sales Manager – Nigeria Market Development

About the role

MEIDE Group, a global leader in ductile iron pipe and valve manufacturing, is expanding its footprint in Nigeria. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive market development, build distribution networks, and secure new business across the country.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet annual targets in Nigeria.
  • Identify and acquire new customers, distributors, contractors, consultants, and project opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, government agencies, utilities, EPC contractors, and partners.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: visits, project tracking, quotations, negotiations, and order execution.
  • Create and oversee local distribution channels to broaden market coverage.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, providing regular market intelligence.
  • Coordinate with headquarters and internal teams for technical support and timely project delivery.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development plans.
  • Represent MEIDE Group at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years of B2B sales experience in construction materials, piping systems, valves, fittings, water infrastructure, industrial or steel products.
  • Proven track record in business development, project sales, or distributor management.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and business environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, target‑oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Fluent in English and willing to travel frequently within Nigeria and occasionally across West Africa.
