Sales Associate

About the role

Genova is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Sales Representative to engage African business owners, demonstrate the Genova platform and help them adopt technology that streamlines operations. You will work closely with the commercial team to turn prospects into long‑term customers while supporting onboarding and gathering market feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective business customers through field visits, referrals, networking and outbound outreach.
• Understand each business’s operational challenges and demonstrate how Genova can address them.
• Conduct product demonstrations both in person and virtually.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and keep accurate activity records.
• Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process.
• Support customer onboarding and ensure a smooth transition after signup.
• Gather customer feedback and share market insights with product and customer‑success teams.
• Represent Genova professionally at client meetings, events and business engagements.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong relationship‑building ability.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working toward targets.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, laptops and business software.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a fast‑growing environment.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail or business development is an advantage but not mandatory.
