Sales Assistant

About the role

The Candy Co. is seeking a full‑time Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Lekki (with coverage of Ikeja). This hybrid position combines in‑store customer service with support for our wholesale operations, helping bring American candy and snacks to Nigerian consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, guide them through product selections, and answer product‑related questions.
• Process sales transactions accurately using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Maintain tidy store displays, organize merchandise, and manage inventory levels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving daily and monthly sales targets.
• Coordinate with wholesale partners to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability.
• High school diploma or equivalent; retail or sales experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using inventory management software.
• Basic computer skills.
