Retail Business Manager – North-East Region

About the role

Ardova Plc, a leading indigenous energy company in Nigeria, is seeking a Retail Business Manager for its North‑East region. You will coordinate sales activities, develop and implement strategies, and optimise the use of company assets across all retail outlets in the designated area.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development for Ardova‑operated outlets in the North‑East.
• Mentor and lead Retail Management Assistants (RMAs) to achieve volume, revenue, profit and OPEX targets.
• Ensure compliance with Ardova policies, HSE standards and statutory regulations.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with terminal operations and fleet to maintain optimal product availability and stock levels.
• Set pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
• Monitor market trends and competition to support strategic decisions.
• Implement initiatives to increase footfall and strengthen the Ardova brand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a retail position within the downstream oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of Ardova’s products and services.
• Good understanding of local and international oil & gas regulations.
• Experience in marketing operations for downstream oil & gas.
• Proven people‑management and mentorship abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Ardova’s product portfolio (petroleum, lubricants, LPG).
• Understanding of oil & gas sector principles and regulations.
