Remote SQL Developer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Remote SQL Developer on a contract basis to design, develop, and maintain SQL‑based solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making for a global software and data leader.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write, and optimise complex SQL queries for efficient ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers supporting business applications.
• Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues to improve system reliability.
• Document database schemas, data models, and query logic for team reference.

Required profile

• Proficiency in SQL with experience in query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with database design, indexing and partitioning strategies.
• Familiarity with transactional and analytical databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable and scalable SQL code.
• Experience using version‑control systems (e.g., Git) for database schema changes.
