Remote Shopify Developer & Farm Website Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a remote Shopify developer who will also act as project manager for farm‑focused websites. You will own client sites, email/SMS marketing, and relationships, helping small farms and local food businesses grow their online presence and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Build and customize Shopify storefronts, including theme work, app integration, Liquid coding, testing and troubleshooting.
• Set up and manage Klaviyo (or similar) email and SMS flows, list segmentation, and campaign reporting.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, develop scopes of work, and coordinate project timelines using ClickUp.
• Maintain ongoing client communication, gather assets, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Contribute to internal process improvements, documentation, and help market Grapevine’s service packages.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a client‑service orientation.
• Self‑discipline to work independently in a fully remote environment with reliable high‑speed internet.
• Passion for or experience in farming, local food, or agricultural sectors is a plus.

Required skills

• Shopify platform, backend configuration, theme customization, Liquid, HTML, CSS.
• Klaviyo (or comparable email/SMS automation) account setup, list management, flow creation.
• Project management tools such as ClickUp.
• Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Merchant Center.
• Basic knowledge of Squarespace, WordPress, SEO.

What we offer

• Fully remote W2 employment paying $30‑$36 per hour, based on experience.
• 28‑40 hours per week with a 4‑day work week (Monday‑Thursday) and flexible Friday work as needed.
