Regional HR Manager

About the role

We are looking for a strategically minded Regional HR Manager to lead human resources operations across our South East matrixed group. The role is focused on the construction and civil engineering sectors and requires strong analytical abilities and experience managing large blue‑collar and white‑collar workforces.

Key responsibilities

• Build HR infrastructure and talent pipelines to support regional expansion.
• Deploy performance management systems for both corporate and field staff.
• Run end‑to‑end recruitment for engineers, site artisans, and other technical roles.
• Forecast site manpower needs and optimise hiring speed and cost.
• Oversee daily HR operations across multiple entities (ABC Ltd, JKL, XYZ branch).
• Align local HR practices with Group policies and subsidiary MD priorities.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws for casual and site workers.
• Maintain headcount metrics and create Excel dashboards for leadership.
• Handle complex employee relations and grievance resolution across office and field environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 6–8 years progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in construction, civil engineering or heavy infrastructure.
• Proven track record of high‑volume recruitment and site‑based workforce planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of Nigerian labour legislation, especially for contract staffing and casual labour.
• Based in the South East region or willing to relocate.
• CIPM certification or membership preferred.
