Regional Collections Manager, West Central

About the role

The Regional Collections Manager will lead collection efforts for PAYG solar products across the West Central region of Nigeria, ensuring timely repayments and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse regional portfolio and repayment trends to develop daily, weekly and monthly collection strategies.
• Conduct mystery market visits to assess sales quality and gather insights for improving repayment performance.
• Provide weekly updates to the zonal credit analyst on field interventions and results.
• Design, pilot and operationalise collection processes to boost repayments and customer satisfaction.
• Work with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to repossess products from delinquent customers when needed.
• Report product tampering and facilitate actions against fraudulent practices.
• Train field agents on repossession and difficult collection scenarios.
• Recruit and set up cash collection centres in key areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in credit collections, debt recovery or micro‑finance/fintech, with field exposure to rural customers.
• Strong logical, communication and problem‑solving abilities, fluent in English and the local language.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience with micro‑finance or fintech credit collections.
• Knowledge of PAYG financing and mobile‑money payment systems.
