Recruitment Officer – 6‑Month Contract in Sagamu, Ogun State

About the role

The client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, is expanding its production facility in Sagamu, Ogun State. They are looking for an experienced Recruitment Officer to lead high‑volume hiring for production, engineering, quality, supply chain and corporate functions on a six‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition to onboarding for both technical and non‑technical positions.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet aggressive hiring targets and build a talent pipeline in Ogun State and neighboring areas.
• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, community outreach and local institutions.
• Conduct competency‑based interviews, assessments and reference checks, and prepare shortlists and interview reports.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, provide market intelligence and coordinate interview scheduling.
• Maintain accurate vacancy advertising, applicant tracking records and weekly recruitment dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, equal employment practices and documentation standards.
• Represent the organization at recruitment fairs and promote the employer brand in the local market.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or related field; professional HR certification is a plus.
• Minimum three years of recruitment experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, manufacturing or similar high‑volume environments.
• Proven ability to recruit technical manufacturing roles and support plant start‑up or expansion projects.
• Strong knowledge of the labour market in Ogun State and surrounding regions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment databases.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent competency‑based interviewing and assessment techniques.
