Recruitment Lead – Fintech Payments

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing fintech company solving payments challenges for African businesses, is looking for a Recruitment Lead. You will own the talent acquisition strategy, partner with functional heads, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience as the organisation scales.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end recruitment across multiple departments and seniority levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop workforce planning.
• Design and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business goals.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through sourcing, networking, and employer‑branding initiatives.
• Track recruitment metrics, produce regular reports, and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, platforms, and recruitment tools.
• Represent the company at job fairs, networking events, and branding activities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in HR/recruitment at fast‑growing tech start‑ups or scale‑ups.
• Proven ability to recruit top‑tier, niche talent in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Adaptable, comfortable working in multicultural settings, and passionate about people‑related challenges.
• Data‑driven decision‑making with a creative problem‑solving mindset.
• Bias toward continuous learning and proactive action.
