Human Resources (HR) Manager

About the role

The HR Manager will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, focusing on strategic recruitment and effective personnel management to build a top‑tier workforce and foster a productive, compliant, and engaging work environment. The role involves driving talent acquisition across production, sales and administrative functions while ensuring HR operations align with Nigerian labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition for production, sales and administrative roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding qualified candidates.
• Oversee daily HR operations, employee relations, conflict resolution and performance management to maintain high morale and productivity.
• Ensure all company policies and employment practices strictly comply with Nigerian Labour Laws and relevant industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, track attendance and support payroll administration.
• Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programmes for factory staff and field sales teams to enhance capabilities.

Required profile

• Female candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Personnel Management or a related social science field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years proven experience as an HR Specialist or HR Manager, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Professional certification such as CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria) is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws, excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, high emotional intelligence and a problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS) and MS Office suite.
• In‑depth knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
