Real Estate Lawyer (Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Real Estate Lawyer to join our legal team in Lagos. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on property transactions, manage legal risk, and support the company’s extensive real‑estate portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Draft routine deeds of assignment, contracts of sale, leases and amendments, and ensure proper execution, binding, and sealing.
• Monitor and mitigate legal risks in real‑estate documentation, advising the business accordingly.
• Interpret relevant laws, rulings, and regulations to guide real‑estate transactions.
• Secure necessary approvals before any property transaction is executed.
• Manage regulatory and compliance services related to real‑estate activities.
• Represent the company in property purchases, sales, and related litigation.
• Provide legal and advisory support for a large‑scale real‑estate portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in real‑estate law, including litigation, lease transactions, property management, and purchase‑sale deals.
• Experience with title insurance underwriting, curative actions, and claims.
• Strong analytical, research, and judgment skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and lead effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
