R&D Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced R&D Lead to develop and launch new home and personal care products tailored to Nigerian consumers. The role involves overseeing product formulation, testing, optimisation and ensuring regulatory compliance from concept through to market launch.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and launch new home/personal care products for the Nigerian market.
• Formulate, test and optimise products for cost, performance and use of local raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC and SON standards.
• Support scale‑up from laboratory to full production.
• Collaborate with Marketing, QA and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead and mentor junior R&D staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of R&D experience in home or personal care products.
• Proven track record of developing successful products.
• Strong knowledge of formulation and raw material sourcing.
• Familiarity with NAFDAC/SON regulatory requirements.
• Leadership and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
