Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Abuja. The role involves managing cost control, budgeting and contract administration for residential, commercial and mixed‑use development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for various development projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to support project decisions.
• Develop and maintain project cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts and procurement schedules; evaluate bids and recommend selections.
• Administer construction contracts, monitor compliance and certify contractor valuations and payment applications.
• Manage contract variations, claims and dispute resolutions.
• Monitor project expenditures, cash‑flow forecasts and track progress against budgets and timelines.
• Identify cost overruns, commercial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress and valuation claims.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors and consultants, providing commercial advice and updates.

Required profile

• 7–9 years of progressive Quantity Surveying experience in real estate, property development or construction.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional membership with NIQS and/or QSRBN is an advantage.
