Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support our construction projects across multiple states in Nigeria. The role involves preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and providing procurement advice to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing and terms.
• Manage project budgets, forecast costs and monitor expenditures.
• Maintain accurate records of all project‑related financial transactions.
• Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost‑saving measures.
• Interpret client requirements and perform quantity take‑offs from drawings.
• Identify gaps between BOQ, drawings and specifications and resolve them.
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying savings opportunities.
• Participate in pre‑tender activities and raise relevant pre‑bid queries.

Required profile

• B.Sc degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or related construction roles.
• Proven experience in site supervision and project management.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating architectural and design competence.
• Knowledge of national building codes and green building standards such as NBC, ANSI/ASHRAE and LEED.
