MEP Engineer – Full‑time (Nigeria)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified MEP Engineer to lead the design, implementation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across a range of projects in Nigeria. The role covers new constructions and renovations, ensuring all building services are safe, compliant and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage MEP designs and implementation, including HVAC, pumping, fire‑fighting, cooking‑gas lines and piping systems from initiation to project close‑out.
• Design and execute all MEP systems for assigned in‑house projects.
• Ensure building systems operate safely and meet current regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date certificates of compliance in line with legislation.
• Analyse repetitive equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
• Oversee all phases of MEP design and deployment handled by consultants.
• Review contractor installation and method statements.
• Conduct project snagging and track electrical/mechanical service defects for remedial action.
• Verify that installation, inspection and testing of MEP equipment meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with project personnel to meet deadlines, procedures and other project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications and schematics related to MEP trades.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical, electrical and plumbing within a consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of construction procedures and practices.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
