Quality Control/Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Control/Assurance Manager will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for Jawa International Limited’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and Technical Director, the role ensures full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a GMP‑aligned QMS.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, PCN and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Review and approve SOPs, batch manufacturing records and validation protocols.
• Investigate quality deviations, non‑conformances and customer complaints; drive CAPA actions.
• Oversee document control, change control and record‑keeping to guarantee data integrity.
• Coordinate staff training on GMP, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Applied Chemistry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance/compliance or as a chemical/instrumental analyst in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements and pharmaceutical documentation.
