Quality Control Manager

About the role

The Quality Control Manager will lead all quality control activities on construction projects for Pernix International in Lagos, Nigeria. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that work complies with company standards, client requirements and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project‑specific quality control plans.
• Conduct daily inspections of work in progress, materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate and document inspections, tests and non‑conformances, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, building codes and international standards to verify compliance.
• Prepare quality reports, maintain audit records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training on quality standards to project teams, subcontractors and client representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Quality Control.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing construction quality control programmes, preferably on US Embassy/Consulate projects.
• Active US Security Clearance.
• Proven ability to identify risks, analyse root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment.
