Quality Control Associate – Material Testing

About the role

The Quality Control Associate will ensure that all raw materials, packaging, and production inputs meet Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS), Codex Alimentarius and internal Food Concepts specifications. The role involves conducting analytical, physico‑chemical and organoleptic tests, identifying non‑conformities and supporting continuous improvement of material quality.

Key responsibilities

• Create prototypes of new products and evaluate raw, packaging and PPE materials against international and national standards.
• Perform laboratory‑based physico‑chemical and organoleptic assessments of materials.
• Verify water quality and trigger escalation when results fall below NIS requirements.
• Establish and monitor Integrated Pest Management within the facility.
• Maintain accurate, traceable documentation for all analytical and development activities.
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate test results, quality issues and corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, GHP and GLP standards at all times.
