Quality Assurance Officer - Solar Panel Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Assurance Officer ensures that all solar panels and components meet strict quality standards and regulatory compliance. The role covers developing QA frameworks, conducting inspections and testing, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce quality control standards across all production stages.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain ISO and industry certifications relevant to solar panel manufacturing.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure process consistency and audit internal processes for non-compliance.
• Work with suppliers so that incoming materials meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate QA documentation and reporting, and monitor KPIs such as defect rates, returns and customer complaints.
• Train production staff on quality control procedures and support product development teams in testing new designs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of QA experience, preferably in manufacturing or renewable energy.
• Familiarity with solar industry standards is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other quality frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with quality testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to train and influence production teams; Lean and Six Sigma are a plus.
