Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the development and maintenance of the facility’s Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with national regulatory standards such as NAFDAC and SON.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the QMS, reviewing SOPs, batch records, specifications and validation protocols.
• Lead investigations of deviations, OOS results and customer complaints, applying root‑cause analysis and CAPAs.
• Plan and conduct internal self‑inspections, qualify raw‑material suppliers and manage regulatory agency inspections.
• Oversee qualification and validation of equipment, computer systems and critical processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Authorize final production data reviews and market release of pharmaceutical batches.
• Manage the Quality department staff, training matrices and ensure high regulatory awareness.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• BSc, B.Pharm or HND in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organisational skills and ability to lead teams.
• Deep understanding of cGMP and Quality Management Systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides (or Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint equivalents).
• Knowledge of national regulatory standards (NAFDAC, SON) and GMP compliance.
