Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will support the Executive Chef and the Food & Beverage department by managing all purchasing activities, ensuring quality, cost control, and compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and maintain an approved vendor list across all categories and manage purchase orders for food, beverage, and controllable items.
• Enforce first‑in/first‑out inventory rotation, monitor stock levels, and ensure accurate receiving, inspection, and invoicing of deliveries.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, restaurant management, and vendors to align delivery schedules with production needs.
• Prepare and submit timely reports, presentations, and period‑end inventory calculations in accordance with F&B and accounting SOPs.
• Support budgeting by tracking food and beverage costs, maintaining controllable logs, and communicating price or availability issues to the F&B Director and Executive Chef.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (4‑year program).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing or a related function, preferably within hospitality or food service.
• Demonstrated ability to apply accounting knowledge to purchasing operations and to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams, resolve disciplinary matters, and provide clear updates to supervisors and peers.
