Purchasing Manager

About the role

Mayristics Enterprise is looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead supplier sourcing, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods for its manufacturing and warehousing operations in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain and compare quotations before making purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Purchase goods and materials according to company requirements.
• Monitor product quality and ensure purchased items meet company standards.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, invoices, and supplier information.
• Coordinate with inventory and sales teams to monitor stock levels.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of purchased goods.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Inspect deliveries and report shortages, damages, or quality issues.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and approved budgets.
• Prepare regular procurement and purchasing reports for management.

Required profile

• OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement and supplier management.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Integrity and ability to handle company resources responsibly.
• Previous purchasing or procurement experience is an advantage.
