Project Operations Manager – School Launch

About the role

The Project Operations Manager will support the Director of Education in launching a premium British K‑12 school in Alaro City, Lagos, scheduled for September 2027. This role combines project management, regulatory compliance, staffing, and operational setup to ensure a successful school opening.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the project plan, timelines, milestones, budgets and deliverables for the school launch.
• Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders, prepare reports, facilitate meetings and maintain project documentation.
• Partner with legal and regulatory bodies to secure licensing, accreditation and compliance approvals.
• Work with HR and school leadership to recruit, onboard and train staff, and to establish operational systems such as admissions, finance and IT.
• Monitor budget, expenditures and risks, providing regular updates to the Director of Education and Finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field; Business Administration or HR preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in project or operations management, preferably within education or large‑scale development projects.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams.
• Self‑driven, resilient, result‑oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Project.
• Knowledge of HR processes, employment law and regulatory compliance.
