Project Manager – Vaccine Hubs & Solarization (P-3)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior Project Manager (P-3) to lead the planning, construction, and operationalisation of vaccine hubs and solar‑powered health centres across Nigeria. Reporting to the Nigeria Country Office Chief of Health, you will coordinate with health managers overseeing Primary Health Care, Immunisation and MNCH clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets for three vaccine hubs (Abuja and Kano) and the Lagos Hub.
• Oversee contracts for the solarisation of over 370 health centres and the operation and maintenance of related infrastructure.
• Manage the defect‑liability period for the Abuja Premier Warehouse.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within scope and budget, in line with approved work plans.
• Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation and monitor results.
• Build partnerships, promote innovation and contribute to knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in health, public health, construction management, financial management, management, international relations or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience managing projects in the national or international health sector.
• Proven ability to resolve complex, sensitive situations under pressure and to drive change in diverse environments.
