Project Manager – Vaccine Hubs & Solarization (P-3)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead planning, scheduling and execution of multiple health infrastructure projects in Nigeria, including the construction of three vaccine hubs, solarisation of over 370 health centres and the operationalisation of the Lagos hub. Reporting to the Nigeria Country Office Chief of Health, the role ensures delivery on time, within scope and budget while coordinating with health managers across primary health care, immunisation and MNCH clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans for vaccine hub construction in Abuja and Kano.
• Oversee contracts for operation, maintenance and solarisation of health centres.
• Manage the defect‑liability period for the Abuja Premier Warehouse.
• Lead the operationalisation of the Lagos hub.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines and risks, ensuring compliance with approved work plans.
• Coordinate with health managers and external partners to align project outcomes with programme objectives.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in health, public health, construction management, financial management, management, international relations or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience managing projects in the national or international health sector.
• Proven ability to handle complex, sensitive situations under pressure.
• Strong change‑management and risk‑mitigation capabilities.
