Project Driver – Field Operations (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Project Driver supports TechnoServe’s field monitoring activities by providing safe, reliable transportation for project teams and visitors across several Nigerian locations. Reporting to the Operations Specialist, the driver ensures the vehicle is well‑maintained and ready for daily assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive office vehicles to transport authorized personnel, documents, and program‑related items to various sites.
• Interpret and follow travel policies, staff rules, and financial regulations related to vehicle use.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs, fuel consumption records, and assist in preparing maintenance plans.
• Perform routine vehicle upkeep, including oil changes, tyre checks, brake inspections, washing, and arranging minor or major repairs.
• Ensure all required documentation (insurance, logs, maps, first‑aid kit, spare parts) is up to date and available.
• Provide physical assistance during office relocations, staff moves, and support meetings or conferences.
• Interact courteously with clients, visitors, and officials, applying high emotional intelligence.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining logs and documentation.
• Physical capability to assist with moving equipment and setting up meeting spaces.
