About the role
The Inventory Officer will manage the receipt, inspection, and recording of incoming materials, maintain accurate stock records, and support procurement and other departments in inventory control.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular counts, and update the ERP system with all transactions.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment orders.
- Prepare weekly reports on receipts, issuances, balances, and variances.
- Investigate and resolve record discrepancies promptly.
- Work with departments to forecast needs and apply inventory control best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations.
Required profile
- OND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Internship, NYSC placement, or volunteer experience in stock handling is a plus.
- Prior exposure to ERP or inventory software is advantageous.
