Production Officer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Officer will oversee daily manufacturing activities at Recare Limited's Lagos facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role is essential to supporting the company's portfolio of personal style products across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans in line with approved schedules and output targets.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure correct use of raw materials and packaging materials to minimize waste.
• Record production output, downtime, and variances accurately.
• Maintain compliance with product safety, GMP, and hygiene standards on the production floor.
• Supervise production operators and casual staff, allocating tasks and enforcing discipline.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Complete daily production reports, shift handover notes, and material usage records.
• Maintain accurate production documentation for audit and traceability purposes.
• Enforce health and safety rules and ensure proper use of PPE.

Required profile

• HND/BSc degree in Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in FMCG.
• Experience working on factory production lines is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good understanding of production processes and factory operations.
• Basic knowledge of GMP and hygiene standards.
