Production Manager

About the role

Paredee Foods Limited, a joint venture of Parle in Nigeria, is seeking a Production Manager to lead end‑to‑end manufacturing operations for its biscuit and confectionery portfolio. The role focuses on driving plant performance, ensuring food safety and quality, and building high‑performing production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through effective production and quality management.
• Monitor production performance, analyse losses and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules, manpower, machinery and material availability.
• Collaborate with Corporate Planning, Procurement, Stores and Engineering for seamless operations.
• Lead preventive maintenance initiatives and identify machine improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, FSMS, PQS, ISMS and statutory regulations such as FSSAI.
• Partner with R&D for product trials, process improvements and new product development.
• Coordinate with Export teams to meet SKU and customer‑specific requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality, material utilisation, waste reduction and cost control.
• Lead, coach and develop production staff, handling employee engagement, grievance resolution and performance management.
• Oversee timely SAP transactions, production reporting and communication of critical updates.

Required profile

• B.Tech / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Food Technology with 8‑12 years of experience in biscuit, bread, cake, rusks, chocolate or snack production.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Operations Management is preferred.
• Mandatory Food Safety Audit certification; additional Lead Auditor or Internal Quality Auditor certifications are a plus.
